Campaign#1PostSubject: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sat Aug 05, 2017 9:44 am

"Thank you." Jaya nodded to her advisers after their briefing on the upcoming trial, causing them to bow in return and leave the meeting room. It was a bare metal room with a holographic table in the center, standard in GSU buildings across Earth. Here Jaya had been assigned her wait until the trial, left only to tap her fingers against the metal edge of the table. She wore a much more Earth-like grey garment, almost a mix between military uniform and angelic dress. The crest of the Phoenix was imprinted upon the front, whilst her crown sat upon her head.

"My Queen," A soldier appeared by the door, bowing to Jaya respectfully. "Queen Kittiana is here to see you."
"Send her in." She nodded in reply, preparing herself for whatever onslaught her mother was about to verbally deliver. Once Kitty reached the room, Jaya would gesture to her two Omega bodyguards to wait outside, which they promptly did. Within moments the two were left alone in the room, with Jaya stood firm as ever.

"Can I help you mother?"

Campaign#2PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sat Aug 05, 2017 2:32 pm

Kitty entered the room with a look of ice in her eyes, something Jaya had most likely seen before but had probably never seen it directed at her. She walked stiffly but with purpose, and she was seemingly dressed in more formal attire than battle attire, presumably for the trial. "I believe you have already guessed why I am here?" There was anger in her tone, but just as it had been when talking to Dan earlier that day, it was restrained.

Kitty walked closer to Jaya, she had something in her hand, it looked to be some form of usb stick. "I have something to show you. And you will listen to what I have to say." Her eyes narrowed at her daughter, and for a split second she looked like nothing more than a disapproving mother, but that was quickly swallowed up by collected but livid queen.

Kitty plugged the usb into the holographic table, and began to type things in before a video was brought up. Kitty hadn't pressed play yet but it looked to be security footage of some kind. "This was several years ago." Then Kitty press play and the horror began. It was the missing footage that Spartan Aaron had stolen after Corsetta had gone bezerk and slaughtered an entire station, keeping it so Kitty would not be arrested. After he died it was entrusted to her. The video clearly depicted Corsetta making her way up the elevator shaft, sometimes in flesh and blood form and sometimes in lava form. She went floor by floor, gruesomely and brutally slaughtering anyone in her way, even laughing about it and taunting everyone. Not a living person was left in her wake until she encountered Aaron who put her down again after she seriously injured the Captain. When the video was done Kitty turned to Jaya, her eyes still as cold as ice.

"In the dark ages I was still in possession of my family's grimoire. I did business with a witch for a certain spell, when the spell did not work I flew into a rage and tried to curse her. But my spell spiraled out of control and ended up creating the Bubonic Plague that killed over 75 million people. I started the Fire of London. I have had a hand in the destruction of almost every empire in history. When Nightblood was still in a pocket dimension I lead an offense that slaughtered an entire race of Witches and Warlocks. I pressed the button that razed hell to the ground, probably killing many demons along with it. Not to mention all the countless death I have inflicted myself or as Corsetta." Kitty leaned against the table, looking perfectly calm and collected despite what she had just revealed to her daughter. "My point is I am guilty of the same crimes you are attempting to convict Dan of, aside from the fact that I did most of that freely and he did most of that under someone elses control. But yet, I am not on trial."

Kitty pulled the usb from the holographic table, tucking it away in a hidden pocket in her medieval gown. "After I leave this room I will be presenting all of this to the rest of the Council and they can make a decision on my fate as well." Once more Kitty's eyes narrowed, a look of anger and disappointment frosted into them. "I would greatly appreciate you being straight with me right now Jaya. I would like to know why you are doing this. And you can spare me the excuse of it being your duty or he wouldn't be the only one up there."

"Of course I do," Jaya replied to her mother's first question, waiting with some curiosity to see what she had brought. When the video played she watched it without giving any signs of shock or concern, instead observing the footage until it ended. Once Kitty had made her point, Jaya stared into her eyes for a few moments, letting there be a pause before she gave her reply.

"I'm sure I don't have to remind you of your own good deeds. You've fought against and averted almost every galactic or planetary threat for the last 600 years. Never once have you been a true cause of one. No, you are not the same as him. It was merely years ago that he destroyed Hades and along with it threatened to destroy Earth. His whole existence in this realm has brought death and destruction with very little consequence. Whenever justice came to put him down he cheated his way back to life." Jaya's eyes were now equally as cold as her mothers, perhaps giving the first sign in a long time that she was truly Kitty's daughter. "I will not let him cheat his way out of justice again."

Kitty's eyebrow twitched when Jaya called her a hero and said her good deeds outweighed the blood on her hands. "You need to check your facts. Most of the time when we were saving the galaxy he was by my side saving it with me." Kitty gripped the table tightly but that was the only sign of her anger. "So his father attempting to destroy the galaxy was his fault. Lana taking control of him and having him free Zalgo and start the Helix protocol was his fault. Is that what you're saying?" Kitty's tone was getting dangerously sharp and there was a flicker of red in her eyes.

"Or are you saying it's his fault because you think he was too weak minded that he couldn't resist the spell?" Then she spoke with a quieter tone but it was no less sharp. "Let's not forget that not too long ago you had someone else in your head who made you put a blade through your father's chest. Or is your memory that selective?" Then Kitty pushed off the table, turning away from Jaya. "I've said my piece. Now if you'll excuse me I have a meeting with the rest of the council."

"Mind controlled or not, I would still have put the dagger in his chest." Was all Jaya had to say, before she too exited the room and joined up with her Omega bodyguards. They marched quickly beside her, all heading for the courtroom that was soon to be in session. In there Jaya climbed the steps to the main 'stage' at the front of the room, a curved platform that seated eight GSU officials. She took the seat further to the left, leaving her guards stationed at the stairs. Numerous other Omega soldiers stood guard around the courtroom, this being such an important event that their presence was deemed necessary.

Soon enough the remaining seven officials filled up the raised seats, comprising of the other major planets of the Union; Humans from Reach, Chorus II and Chiron, an Elf from Mytheria, a Mage of Arcanus, an odd purple-skinned alien from Selsavaris, and finally another human representing Earth. After the officials had all arrived the audience stands began to fill, comprising of both witnesses and the general public of Earth who had gathered to see the trial.

Only after the entire courtroom was filled did the representative from Earth, and subsequently the head of the table, call for silence. After the room's volume lowered, he called out.
"Bring in the accused."

Campaign#6PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sat Aug 05, 2017 9:30 pm

The main doors at the back of the courtroom opened fully to an envoy of Omega guards. At first it seemed it was only them in attendance, as the pure size of their armour obscured whoever they might be escorting in the middle. Once they had entered the room fully and the doors behind the sealed shut, it became clear that Daniel Almis was in the midst of them all. Those who looked closely could see the bindings keeping his hands in an X-shape down by his waist, green-glowing crystals embedded in the metal to prevent use of magic. In fact, even more keen-eyed observers of the room would notice similar, yet larger and more technologically adapted crystals hung in each corner of the room, preventing the use of magic in the entire courtroom.

The Omega soldiers directed Dan into the accused stand on the left hand side of the room, bringing him into full view of the raised officials and the audience. From there he gave a quick glance around, spotting those he recognised in the crowd and up on the platform.

"Daniel Almis, you stand here in a court of Union Law accused of..." The Earth representative paused for a moment, flickering through a phonebook-sized stack of papers. "Countless crimes against humanity, the former UNSC and the subsequent GSU, life itself and the morals of us... mortals." The man seemed to struggle comprehending the full scale of the trial he was judging over, made clear by his stressing of certain words. "To give examples; the destruction of an entire planet, the threatened destruction of the planet we now sit upon, the murder and slaughter of no doubt millions of beings, human or otherwise, the creation of a deadly virus that has decimated the northern sectors of the galaxy, misuse of genetic cloning technology, unregistered dark magic usage and relic possession..." He then shook his head, stopping before the list got even stranger to him.

"We will start with the prosecution's witnesses. The first one being..." The man checked his papers. "Sebastian Duarte, Spartan of the former UNSC."

Sebastian would be guided by an assistant from the audience stands up to the witness stand which stood the right of the room, facing the officials on the platform.

"Now let it be known to the court that a defining offense in Daniel Almis' conviction is the events on Hades following the Demonic Crusade war; namely the destruction of Hades and the near destruction of Earth. Lieutenant Commander Duarte, can you please give the court a briefing of the events of that day. The battle you had to endure both against this..." The man looked at his papers again. "Archdemon Aboleth, and then against Daniel Almis himself. What was Daniel capable of? What was he threatening to do? And what happened on that day?"

Campaign#7PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sun Aug 06, 2017 2:40 am

Sebastian had arrived to the court room in a full suit. Despite this however, his size dwarfed all around him except the Omega Legionnaires, who were considerably larger. He looked at the large super soldiers with brief curiousity, having only heard about them and seen little in battlefield recordings. Now he had the pleasure of actually seeing them in person. His kind's replacements.

As he was guided to the witness stand, Sebastian looked across towards Dan who was restrained. A stern expression appeared on his face as the memories of the events on Hades and later, Sam'anar's vessel came back to him. The gruelling battle followed by psychological torture and severe injuries to himself. His eye still had the scarred tissue around it from where it had been burnt out by the plasma sword, now forever replaced by a bionic one.

He nodded towards the Earth representative. "Yes sir." He paused a moment. Being the soldier that he was, formalities were not his strongest suit. He was used to using military jargon and slang in everyday conversation with his comrades. While he was not incapable of speaking formally, he did struggle to find the right words and needed time.

"The Celestial known as Sam'anar appeared during a diplomatic meeting between the Alliance of Kings and then-UNSC. He offered a plan that if executed, would mean the end of the conflict. No one doubted him at the time because he had already helped us against the Starforger five years ago. Kittiana Calypso Youngblood, Elias Bishop and I were transported to Hades which was the main fortress world of the Demonic Crusade's leader: the Archdemon Aboleth. We were meant to distract him while Sam'anar claimed to be preparing an alleged super-weapon of some king to eliminate the target. Similar in nature to the Shield World Haven's main weapon that was used by Rha 'Mantakree to destroy a Human colony nine years ago. There, we engaged Aboleth in combat before I realised that Sam'anar had fired his weapon down onto the planet. We were lucky enough to be teleported away from the field by another Celestial that identified itself as Seh'makou."

Sebastian paused for a moment, remembering the scene of Hades coming apart before his eyes as a result of Sam'anar firing his weapon at it. He could have died on that day. More importantly, it reminded him of all the innocent people he and many others failed to save on Haven. The image of it's main weapon tearing the Human colony world asunder, while all they could do was watch, had branded itself onto his brain. Never to be forgotten. Forever to be haunted by.
He took another moment to find the right words before continuing.

"The contact made it clear that Sam'anar intended to use the weapon on Earth. Apparently as part of a strategy to eliminate 'both sides of the conflict' in order to end the war. We were transported onto Sam'anar's vessel and there we attempted to engage him, only to almost die at his hand. It was Kittiana who somehow managed to talk him out of it. I don't know how she did it, but it worked. Sam'anar withdrew. However in doing so, apparently he broke some kinda deal with Seh'makou. He appeared and, from what I understood, took Sam'anar's soul out of his body and disappeared, dropping the three of us on Reach." He paused again. "This unit has nothing else to report regarding the mission, sir." He finished.

Campaign#8PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sun Aug 06, 2017 10:40 am

It was clear that the council were shocked and disturbed by the events, at the very least struggling to comprehend it. The talk of Celestials and destruction of human colonies set off a buzz of conversation all around the courtroom which the judge silenced moments later.
"Daniel Almis, do you refute the testimony of this man?" He extended his hand to gesture at Sebastian whilst looking toward Dan. Daniel looked sideways at Sebastian, noticing both the physical and mental scars evident upon him.
"No." He answered with a stern expression.
"Let it be known to the court that the accused therefore admits to his crimes on planetary destruction, conspired destruction of Earth, and in technicality the murder of our champions and soldiers in the field." The Judge put some emphasis on the final part which got a few shaking heads in the audience.

"Thank you, Lieutenant Commander. We appreciate your service to our nation." He continued, before signalling to the assistant that would escort Sebastian back to the audience stands. "Now for our next witness we have; Ven Almis. Brother of the accused." This got some surprised reactions in the audience, as the assistant moved over to escort Ven into the witness stand.

"Let it be known to the court that Ven Almis has known and fought with his brother for a long time. There are few events he has witnessed that may help us shed light on the character of the accused and what he is capable of." The Judge looked to his papers before continuing. "Ven, please tell us what your brother is like and what he is capable of. Specifically, I'd like to hear of the times he killed his own family." Again some of the audience gasped, awaiting to hear Ven's testimony.

Ven took to the witness stand quietly, taking a few moments to consider what he was about to say before actually saying anything.
"Your honour. Many years ago my family threw the galaxy into chaos with our infighting. Dan was the primary cause of this and, for a time, traveled across the galaxy with our other brother, dominating many worlds as I fought to stop him. For years, this man subjugated race after race in the belief that, because we are Celestials, we have a birthright to power and control over the galaxy." He looked at his brother in disgust as people saw the true difference between the two of them.

Ven continued his story for sometimes, giving many details. Some important, some not. Eventually, he got to the main point of the tale. "After some time, I realized I wasn't powerful enough to stand against the combined power of my brother, so I went into hiding. Eventually, our younger sister discovered me and convinced me to rejoin the fight against Dan and Eli, and we made our way to the dark palace that Dan had constructed for them on Earth. We fought our way to the top, eventually fighting Eli and convincing him to join us. We exited the spire at its peak and confronted Dan. Eli betrayed him and he'd realized it...So Dan murdered him in cold blood..."

Ven ended his tale, glaring at his brother with clenched fists. While he had made mistakes, Eli had redeemed himself and tried to be one of the galaxy's greatest heroes. He had tried to be the one to finally take down Dan Almis - A man who had been a scourge on the galaxy for so long. What was his reward for trying to do something so great for the galaxy? He didn't get the praise of the galaxy he deserved. He didn't forgiveness. He got killed mercilessly in a show of power. And Ven hated Dan for that.

Ven looked away from his brother, the absolute hatred fading slightly from his eyes. "
If that'll be all your honour, I have nothing else to say." Ven finished, leaving the witness stand to take a seat alongside Sebastian as part of the rest of the spectators.

"Thank you, Mister Almis." The Judge nodded to Ven, acknowledging his request to leave the stand. There was almost an air of sympathy in the audience for Ven and his dead brother, alongside a growing disdain for Dan visible even in the council members. "Daniel Almis, do you refute the statement given by your brother?" The man asked, to which Dan shook his head.
"No."
"Very well." The Judge almost sighed, sifting through his papers again. "Our next witness wishes to speak on the accused's behalf. Let it be known to the court that she has presented incriminating evidence about herself before this hearing, but this trial will not be purposed around judging her. We must maintain our focus on Daniel Almis for the moment." He looked around, before gesturing to the assistant to bring Kitty up to the witness stand.

"Kittiana Youngblood," The Judge started. "Please, tell us what you think of this man who admits to his crimes. The worst crimes this court has ever had to deal with. Are you here to justify his actions? What is your say?"

Campaign#11PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sun Aug 06, 2017 3:12 pm

Kitty walked up to the stand with her head held high and her shoulders back, looking every inch of the cold queen with confidence for miles. When she sat down in stand chair she leaned back a little, closing her eyes and muttering something. "Kusse." Then she opened her eyes again and was deadly serious. "I am not here to justify his crimes, rather to explain them. They were done forcibly, as in not of his own free will." Kitty glanced over to the crowd, then back to Dan and spoke directly into the mic. "Like how the USNC kidnapped children, experimented on them, and forcibly made them into Spartan II's." She smiled just a little, then leaned back and grew serious again.

"Not all of Daniel's crimes were done under his free will. For many events, such as the events on Chorus and the release of Zalgo, Daniel Almis was under the magical control of Lana. Lana is a dark sorceress whom is now presumed dead but she held great power. While under the magical influence of Lana he was also forced to go to the Helix main center and change the protocol. This new protocol would serve as a back-up plan just in case Zalgo's plan of destroying the galaxy went awry. So I question how Daniel Almis could be held accountable for actions that were out of his control." Kitty knew that she couldn't explain away all his crimes, but hopefully she could explain away the more severe ones. Kitty glanced briefly at Jaya, then away and began to look at Dan.

Kitty could reveal more, possible psychological reasons Dan went after his brothers and power, but she didn't know if she could sacrifice Daniel's privacy like that. How his parents cast him out after he rebelled against his father, trying to rid the world of death. Being thrown to Earth as a demon with no memory of his family. He had been abandoned and alone. Kitty could recognize that, sympathize with that. She could tell everyone this and maybe garner sympathy from the crowd and succeed even more. But Kitty didn't know if Dan even wanted to get off, lately he didn't seem to have any fire in him, like he stopped trying. Kitty watched Dan for a moment longer, trying to get him to meet her eyes before she sighed and looked away. "Is that all?"

Campaign#12PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Sun Aug 06, 2017 7:58 pm

"I see..." The Judge began to make notes on his papers as Kitty spoke, stopping only moments after she finished. "Thank you for your input, Queen Kittiana." He gestured out with a thankful nod, allowing the assistant to escort Kitty back to the audience. After this the council began to discuss amongst themselves, all but Jaya becoming stuck in conversation for a good few minutes. Once they were finished silence was called for again, as the proceedings continued.

"Daniel Almis, do you wish to speak in your own defense?" The man asked. Silence ensued for a few moments as Dan looked down in thought, finally raising his head to the council moments later.
"Do what you will with me. I've been escaping my judgement for far too long. Let me barter this with you though. Seh'Makou is currently on Desolace gathering the souls of fallen angels. He must be defeated and Sam'anar must be freed. He is different from me, he can truly help the galaxy. It was my fault I used his celestial form for evil."

"In exchange for this location of Seh'Makou and information on how to bring Sam'anar back, I ask that you excuse Kittiana Youngblood for all of her crimes." The court filled with the buzz of conversation and surprise, the council quickly turning to convene with one another. Even Jaya was giving her input now, obviously stirred by his words. After further moments of conversation, the council all nodded to one another and turned back to silence the court.

"In light of your contributions, which I have been told are of the utmost importance to the Union," The Judge glanced at Jaya for a second. "The Council have decided to accept your offer. You will give up all information you know that may aid in the elimination of this 'Seh'Makou' and how we can recover the guardian Sam'anar. If your information holds up then Queen Kittiana will not have to attend a trial of her own." The court buzzed with more conversation, quickly silence by the Judge.

"Furthermore, providing your information is true, you will not be sentenced to death. Instead you will serve the collective sentences of the crimes you committed outside of mind-control. An internal board will determine the exact number of years after a review shortly." The Judge then gestured to the Omega guards. "This court is convened and a sentence is given. The prisoner will be escorted to a holding cell where he will be allowed visitors for several hours, after which he will be transferred."

"I hope, for not just your own sake, that your information is true, Daniel Almis." The Judge stood up, followed by the rest of the council. "It seems we need the guardian more than ever."

Kitty did indeed show up to visit Dan, although she had changed out of the formal medieval garb. At first glance she could be mistaken for a college teenager, dresses in jeans and a t-shirt with combat boots. Then again she also had an empty knife sheath strapped to her thigh, empty gun holders strapped to her chest, an an empty sword sheath. It had taken her ten minutes to surrender all her weapons. When she entered the room her mouth was set in a firm line and she glared at Dan. "You shouldn't have done that. I would have been fine regardless of the fact that I would have either been imprisoned or died. I didn't just give them evidence against me to distract from you. I had my own reasons."

Kitty slowly pulled a large emerald ring off her finger, and her appearance suddenly changed. There were now black streaks in her red hair, there were quarter size splotches of pale skin littered on her visible skin. On her face was a jagged white streak that went through her eye, although instead of it being white there was a red streak in the blue of her tight eye. "Dakora estimates under 10 years. At best. A month ago I was under for a week." Kitty's brow twitched, another figure appearing in the room and leaning against the wall. "Aww sweetie, it hurts that you don't look happy to see me." Kitty ignored the icy voice that was only in her head, focusing on Dan. "So, Makou is forming another plan."

Kitty walked as close as she could to the cell before sitting down, a serious look on her face. Kitty seemed to have matured considerably over the two years, or rather she didn't immediately give everyone attitude and she was now capable of a serious face. "After you died I made a deal with Makou."

Dan was sat upon a plain metal bench in his cell, hands still bound by the anti-magic bindings. His gaze remained fixated on the floor for the most part, since he already knew who had come to visit him before she even spoke. There was a certain way she walked; something he would never notice again. Only when she revealed her appearance without the ring did he look up, taking notice of her changed features.

"He's always making plans." He sighed, casting his eyes elsewhere. "He's just gathering power so he can play around more. There's no grand scheme to him." His eyes looked fearful for a split moment. "No... He's not the threat..."

"But he's the key." Dan snapped out of his thoughts that occupied his vision, now looking at Kitty fully. "He still holds Sam'anar. If he can be freed, the galaxy gets one of its three guardians back. No doubt they'll ask you to go."

"But you shouldn't make deals with him..."

Kitty frowned, crossing her arms over her chest and raising a brow. "Give me credit. I was more careful this time." Kitty cracked her knuckles, a faint smirk tugging at her lips as she thought back to the third deal she made with Makou. "He's practically one step away from being my bitch." She flipped open the messenger bag she had over her shoulder, withdrawing a weathered tome with various magical symbols etched into the leather cover. The Grimoire. They had allowed her to take it in considering that with the crystals active, it was useless anyway.

"He asked me to open the book, I asked that he swear on his soul not to harm my family or my friends. He agreed. I opened it. Shut it. Then told him to fuck off. Moron never told me I had to give it back." She shrugged, tucking the book away after she had shown it to Dan. "He can't harm anyone in my bloodline or my friends. Or his soul is mine. I'm the best weapon they have against Makou, they are most definitely going to send me."

"If that's the case then you could just go to Desolace and tell him to free Sam'anar or else you'll kill him." Dan said, adjusting the position of his bound hands. "He can't hurt you, so it's an easy fight." He shrugged, shaking his head somewhat. "Sounds too easy to be true though. Even if he can't fight back he can defend himself with shields and what-not." His hand reached to his chin, posing deep in thought for a moment.

"If he releases Sam'anar and you declare him as your friend, then technically Makou's deal means he cannot harm him. If there's anyone with enough power to kill Makou it would be another celestial." Dan nodded, having finalised his idea. "Release Sam'anar and have him kill Makou."

Kitty frowned a little bit, running a hand through her red and black hair. "Do we really need to kill him?" Kitty ran her fingers over the empty sword sheath attached to her belt, thinking about her angel blade. "I could have Sam'anar strengthen the enchantment on my angel blade and stab Makou with it. He'll be in a neat little cage he can't get out of, plus who knows maybe in the future he'll be useful." Then Kitty's face soured completely, her eyes growing distant and a little guilty as she thought back to Sam'anar.

"How do we know he's even still alright in there? How do we know what he's even really like, without you inside of him?" If Kitty knew that they would be leaving Sam'anar behind when she sprung Dan, she would have tried harder to get Sam'anar out too. "Why would he help us either? We got him captured and left him there with Makou, if someone did that to me I would be pissed off. Plus...Gaia is gone. I doubt he'll be happy with that." Kitty paused again and her eyes grew guilty again and focused on Dan. "Sorry for telling you what happened the way I did. That was cruel."

"You want to spare Makou?" Dan sounded genuinely surprised and confused, giving Kitty a look that also showed it. "Never thought I'd hear you being the merciful type. Maybe that's where Jaya gets it from." He paused for a moment after saying her name, moving on as soon as he could find his next words. "Sam'anar represented all that was genuinely good in me; he is the blue guardian. What he... what I did in his form was because of my judgements."

"Gaia's death will only make Sam'anar all the more happy to kill Makou," Dan then waved his bound hands as he added. "Or help you imprison him, if that's how you want to do it." He then leaned back against the wall, looking down at his hands.

"Either way, I might not see you again. Unless you survive for hundreds of years and see my release, which looks unlikely now..."

Campaign#19PostSubject: Re: [GSU] The Trial of Daniel Almis   Mon Aug 07, 2017 8:50 pm

"Seriously, did you get hit in the head? I don't want to spare him, it would be giving him a taste of his own medicine. See how he likes being trapped in an inescapable prison. Did Jaya forget to bring your brain back?" There was the attitude, but quickly her face darkened which was more eerily than usual considering her mish mosh appearance. "I am not the merciful type and if anything Jaya is more Almis than she is Youngblood." Kitty's face grew serious again, although she bit back saying that the only reason Dan screwed up is because he never listened to anyone else.

Despite what Dan was telling her she was still unsure of Sam'anar. She didn't really know him, and even when Dan was in that form she didn't really know him either. She fidgeted and looked away almost uncomfortably when he said this might be the last time they'd ever see each other, and she slipped back on the ring, her appearance going back to that of a normal looking Kitty. "I have one option if I can't get rid of her through other magical means. But there's a chance I won't survive it and then Corsetta will be running wild." Kitty's hand went to the grimoire in her back, running a finger along its spine. "Complete and total separation, but it would also split us down the middle species wise. I would be human and I or anyone else isn't quick enough she'll kill me before I can make a move. Dakora says that if it worked Diana could always just turn me into a vampire afterwards, but who knows if that'll work, and even then I wouldn't be half human anymore. I would completely be vampire. Immortal but everything would be vastly different."

"Like you'll ever get rid of me." Kitty flinched as Corsetta lunged at her and shoved a hand through Kitty, causing her to cough but was otherwise unharmed. "Go. Away." She hissed before looking back at Dan. "Now let's discuss the other elephant in the room. Sam'anar isn't the only one in Makou's possession. So what do we do about..your father."

"Well, I heard she's a Veilsong now." Dan sighed. "I don't blame her though, the Almis name brings nothing but distrust." He looked at Kitty with a concerned expression. "I'm sure you'll figure it out, as always." Then the discussion turned to his father, a subject he had not spoken about in a long time. There followed a rather long silence as Dan pondered all the options, but it seemed the most obvious was his first instinct.

"If Sam'anar is freed and Makou dealt with, the rest of the souls will be within the gem on his cane." He paused for a moment. "It needs to be destroyed. I bet my father isn't the only dangerous soul he's captured, so it's safer for everyone if they are all taken care of."

"I trust you. For some reason." Kitty stated bluntly before she looked away from his concerned expression, leaving Corsetta to snicker. "I hope." If she didn't figure out how to fix herself in time then she would have to go for the more permanent option. A bullet. Kitty waited quietly as Dan thought, rubbing her forehead which caused Corsetta's image to flicker.

When Dan spoke again Kitty made a check list, "Confront Makou, free Sam'anar, get him to enhance my swords enchantment, stab Makou, break the gem on his cane. Maybe a few other things..." Kitty trailed off, her eyes growing distant as a bunch of different thoughts zipped through her head. She already had business to attend to on Desolance, but she would need to get some supplies. Then Corsetta's incessant talking brought her back, bringing another thought to the surface. Kitty's face grew incredibly serious, and she sat up straighter and folded both hands in her lap. "I need to ask you something and I don't think you'll like it very much."

"Makes you the only person in the galaxy." He chuckled, looking away again. "Yeah, and also try not to get killed." Dan added as she finished her list. What she said next though intrigued him, as of course he felt obliged to ask. "What do you need to ask?" A variety of possibilities raced through his mind, but nothing particularly obvious stuck. Sometimes Kitty could be over-dramatic, so maybe this was one of those times.

He hoped atleast.

Kitty let out a sharp breath, Diana had told her she had a tendency to be over dramatic, but she also chalked it up to her being too human. Still, regardless of how Dan would interpret her words, they needed to be said. "If Dakora's timeline is wrong, if I don't find a way to fix things, if I lose complete control...If there comes an order to have me killed you are not to interfere in any way shape or form."

Kitty wasn't sure if Dan would listen, he almost never did. After today, his little stunt at the trial, she was at least partially sure that at the very least he wouldn't be pleased upon hearing that an order from higher up came out to put her down. But under no circumstances was Corsetta allowed to roam free. "Aww come on! That's no fun Kit Kat! If he doesn't get involved I won't have a chance to play with him, or his internal organs, possibly his lungs. Could go back to that old viking torture method the..." Kitty drowned Corsetta out, looking Dan straight in the eyes with a deathly serious expression. "Nothing must get in the way of putting Corsetta down if it comes to that. You may have encountered her a couple times but that does not mean you know what she is capable of. Not in the slightest."

Dan sighed, looking upwards as he rested his head against the wall behind him.
"Technically it would be an order to kill Corsetta and not you, but..." He glanced back down. "No promises." A smirk showed for a second, before the sound of heavy footsteps came through the corridor. An omega soldier was now standing by the doorway, awaiting Kittiana to finish her business before the visitation was closed. "Well, this is goodbye then."

"Send me a holo-message if you manage to pull of the plan. I imagine prison will get boring without updates on the outside world." He shrugged. "Guess it beats Oblivion, or death."

Kitty sighed, she had sort of already guessed his answer so she wasn't entirely surprised. She had heard the footsteps before he had, although he was her primary focus at the moment. Slowly she stood, dusting herself off and running a hand through her hair. She snorted when he said goodbye, "You know, I used to be the pessimistic one. It's just goodbye for now."

"Knowing my luck, something will most definitely go wrong. But yeah, I'll send you a holo message. Nightblood has been stabilized so I'll have more time on my hands." Kitty gave Dan a nod before turning and heading for the Omega soldier at the door. But she paused for a moment, glancing back over her shoulder. "Sam wasn't all that was good in you. There is still good in you, a truly evil man would feel no guilt for anything. Jeg elsker dig." Then she looked forward again and left with the omega soldier.
